Chapter 7: Strange Bullet Comments
Chapter 7: Strange Bullet Comments
"Come in," the old caretaker said, sitting down in the room after they finished their discussion.
Chi Yuan glanced at them a few times, then said to Yan Xun, "Now that you've arrived safely, I'll leave first." He nodded to Yan Xun and the other two, then left the entrance of the management office.
Li Wu looked at Chi Yuan before asking Yan Xun, "You two know each other?"
"Of course I don't know him." Yan Xun walked into the management office. "He's the security guard who just rescued me."
The management office wasn't large. An old man sat in front of a table with three shopping bags in front of him, which looked like the food they could take with them that day.
"This is your food for today," the old man said.
Yan Xun went over and took a look—there wasn't much food, just enough to keep them from getting hungry.
There were only these three shopping bags in the room... Yan Xun didn't know where the rest of the supplies were. He looked around the room but didn't see any other food.
It was as if the old man already knew that only three people would come to collect the food today.
"Take your breakfast and go home," the old man said.
"Is there enough food?" Li Wu asked. "I'm worried there won't be enough food."
"Food..." the old man thought for a moment, "is fairly plentiful."
He looked at Yan Xun and the other two, and waved his hand, "Don't worry about the food."
“But I heard that the deliveryman disappeared three days ago,” Li Wu added, this was the background information they had all received—
Three days ago, the person in charge of delivering supplies disappeared. Because of the appearance of the fake man, their Meimei Building has become an isolated island. If no one continues to deliver supplies, everyone will probably go hungry.
“You don’t need to worry about that,” the old man said. “Our supplies are enough to last until the next deliveryman arrives.”
"Besides, all we need to do is capture all the fakes."
He waved his hand, saying, "Hurry up and go." The old man was a little impatient, "Don't get in the way here."
He's lying.
The three players in the room all had the same idea at the same time.
Yan Xun looked at the old man and the door behind him, which was probably his temporary residence.
The background setting states that the supplies inside the building can only last for a week at most.
This is also the deadline the instance gives them for their mission. Although they don't know what will happen after a week, it's obviously not going to be anything good.
"Never mind, let's go first," Su Yumin said, casually putting his arm around Yan Xun and Li Wu's shoulders.
"Let's trust him this once."
……
As soon as Yan Xun left the management office, he shook off Su Yumin's arm.
“So heartless…” Su Yumin said, looking at Li Wu and noticing that Li Wu had also shaken off his arm.
“Let’s keep our distance,” Li Wu said. “There are fake players among us.” He looked at Su Yumin and Yan Xun and said directly, “You could be either.”
"Of course, it's possible for me too, for you."
He took a few steps forward, carrying the plastic bag in his hand, not intending to wait for the other two people.
"Hey, don't forget to come to my room later," Su Yumin said. "Let's discuss it together."
Li Wu glanced back at them, nodded, and left through the emergency exit.
“He lives in room 1101,” Su Yumin told Yan Xun. “I’m in 908.”
"Come find me in room 908 later."
"Let's exchange information together."
Yan Xun knew that there were also fake players among the players—but the novel did not mention who that person was. It only said that Gui Yuchong showed a very surprised expression after seeing this person, as if he did not expect that the fake player was actually him.
He looked Su Yumin up and down, only to be met with a grinning face in return. "Do you suspect I'm a fake?"
"However, I heard that killing a fake person doesn't cause bloodshed."
He spread his hands at Yan Xun, "Try stabbing me?"
"Did you just say that to Li Wu too?" Yan Xun asked.
“Of course,” Su Yumin said smugly.
"How did he say?"
He said I was crazy.
Su Yumin continued smiling as she said to Yan Xun, "Don't you think this method is great?"
"That way we can identify who the imposter is."
Yan Xun, carrying a plastic bag, put one hand in his pocket and looked at Su Yumin, saying, "I don't think the mission is that simple."
"How to say?"
"There may be penalties for making wrong judgments."
Otherwise, they could pass the level simply by finding the imposters—they vote for one person each day, and there are only 6 players in total, so the investigation could be completed in less than 7 days.
Although finding the fake man was a [B-] mission, Yan Xun felt it wasn't that simple.
Su Yumin sighed, "So cunning."
He then asked Yan Xun, "Are you a new player?"
"Actually, I'm a new player," he said. "I was working when I opened my eyes while I was slacking off and found myself in this world."
"I'm so scared."
Yan Xun looked at Su Yumin's smiling face and didn't sense that the other party was afraid in the slightest.
"Are you all veteran players?" Su Yumin tilted her head and looked Yan Xun up and down. "I see you're not scared at all."
Yan Xun didn't want to reveal that he was also a newcomer.
So he didn't say anything.
"You talk too much," he said impatiently to Su Yumin.
“You must be a veteran player,” Su Yumin said. “Only veteran players find newbies troublesome.”
As they spoke, the number of viewers in Yan Xun's live stream continued to increase.
In the picture, Yan Xun is standing next to Su Yumin, who is all smiles and looks sunny and cheerful.
The comments section was filled with 【!!!!!】【!!!Run!!! !!!】
"...I feel a little sorry for you, streamer. What kind of luck do you have? How did you manage to draw this character...?"
Don't be fooled by him!!!
[Wait, why would he come to such a small dungeon? Didn't we agree that we wouldn't play anything less than an S-rank dungeon?]
Seeing that face, he actually didn't run away (puzzling)
[Please forgive the streamer, he's new and I haven't seen his face before (tears)]
[Who participated in that instance? Besides him, could anyone else survive?]
[At least on the forum, there doesn't seem to be any precedent for this...]
To prevent spoilers, the system can see the comments, but any parts involving keywords are filled with countless ******
[Host, your comment section is incredibly enthusiastic.] The system told Yan Xun, [There are now 1000 people in the live stream.]
[And the number is increasing!]
Yan Xun then remembered that he still had a live stream. He suddenly became curious and asked, "What are people saying in the live stream chat?"
The system hesitated, looking at the screen filled with *******, and said uncertainly to Yan Xun, "...Maybe it's trying to be suggestive?"
Yan Xun: "...?"
He glanced at Su Yumin, who was at least half a meter away from him. "Even someone like this can be lewd?"
What a strange audience!
