Chapter 3970 MU Superbody Major Event (5)
Chapter 3970 MU Superbody Major Event (5)
Chapter 4007 The MU Superbody Incident (50)
It's fair to say that Injustice Superman is now on the brink of disaster. Owlman is only being targeted by Batman Alive; the Supermen don't interfere in the internal struggles of the Batman group, and most Batmen are neutral. So, Owlman is essentially only dealing with the small group that the main universe's Batman has assembled.
Even so, the pressure on him was immense. In the end, he was even chased and forced to flee in his own universe, having to resort to his trump card to save himself.
Now, Injustice Superman has offended all three members of the Justice League. Batmen can't accept his mind control of Batman, Superman considers it incredibly evil, and Wonder Woman and her allies feel that he killed their sister. Moreover, because of his already tarnished reputation, he can't clear his name no matter what he does.
If things continue like this, Injustice Superman is absolutely doomed. While Batman and Superman don't kill, Wonder Woman might. And, putting aside these superheroes, if a supervillain like the Joker found out he had mind-controlled Batman, then there would be no hope.
If the Joker finds out about this, he'll definitely gank from level one to level two and then level three. If he's sent to the bot lane, I'll go. He's given up the jungle, the tower, and even the base. Miracle Walker isn't even farming the jungle anymore. Today, I'll show you what a black hand really is.
Injustice Superman does seem to have some kind of post-traumatic stress disorder regarding killing the Joker. If Batman were to suddenly appear and block his way, he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't accidentally kill him, which would truly trigger a swarm of bats.
In order to prevent things from escalating to such a terrifying state, he could only try to shift the blame. However, with his notorious reputation across the multiverse, no one was more evil than him now, and framing those righteous superheroes for this was definitely a no-go, unless he found someone with a dark past.
Although Superman isn't particularly strong, he's quite famous in the multiverse. After all, he carries Kryptonite with him, and most ordinary Supermen avoid him. This has also made the reversed good and evil situation in their universe quite famous, making him a formidable opponent for the current Injustice Superman.
However, the prerequisite for shifting the blame is that the other party must be able to act. After being knocked down by Night Owl's curse, Superb was bedridden and could not get any sun. He could not approach Kryptonite at will, and it seemed that he was about to die. Unfortunately, only Night Owl could break the curse.
Injustice Superman was in a real bind. He had to pick up his tablet and watch the video several more times. Even if it was just to shift the blame, he had to save Night Owl, remove the curse from Superman, and get Superman to form the Evil Superman League so he could get the blame out of him.
But no matter how hard he looked, he couldn't make heads or tails of it. His super brain was practically spinning out of control, but he still couldn't come up with any clues. Ultimately, it was because the video was just too short.
So Injustice asked, "Why only three seconds?"
Supergirl thought for a moment and said, "The other party may have some means of jamming radio waves. Anyway, there was no signal after the video ended."
"Then this..."
Before he could finish speaking, a piercing alarm sounded from downstairs at the base. Supergirl jumped to her feet.
"What's going on?" Injustice asked.
"Damn it." Super Queen just cursed without explaining to them, and went downstairs with the lasso in her hand.
The two Supermen exchanged a glance and followed him downstairs. As they went down, they vaguely saw a figure standing in front of the base gate, but before they could see what was going on, a bolt of lightning struck.
With a loud crack, it cleaved a large, charred hole in the floor. The two Supermen stopped abruptly. Whose subordinate was this?
Then they heard a roar: 'Mazahs!'
Another bolt of lightning struck, this time nearly hitting Lord Superman. Lord Superman's expression immediately darkened, but when he saw the person's face, he couldn't help but freeze in shock.
Opposite him was a strong man with wild red hair, wearing a tight-fitting suit and a helmet, a typical superhero look. The problem was, he looked exactly like Alexander Luthor.
“The universe is upside down, remember?” said Injustice Superman.
“But this is too upside down,” Lord Superman couldn’t help but say. “And what is ‘Zansha’? Is it ‘Shazam’ backwards?”
“Be careful,” said the Super Queen who was walking in front. “This guy has the power of the gods, and he can absorb the superpowers of everyone he kills. He’s killed quite a few people while he was with us, so he’s very strong.”
Injustice Superman opened his mouth, unsure where to begin his rant. The good news, however, was that this upside-down universe was indeed quite upside down; while Lex Luthor possessed powerful superpowers, he seemed to have lost his prized intelligence.
The good news is that the two Supermen in this universe are among the most intelligent and best utilizing their super brains.
This wasn't the bald Lex Luthor who rushed up to fight the Super Queen. The two Supermen quickly stepped back; they didn't want to get involved in the fight at all, and it was too strange to fight Lex Luthor.
But Lex Luthor wasn't alone. Just as the two Supermen retreated to the glass behind them, a figure burst through the window, using the Lasso of Truth to bind Injustice Superman.
The moment Injustice Superman saw Wonder Woman's face in the main universe, he knew: it was all over.
Before Wonder Woman could even ask, he blurted out, "I didn't kill Wonder Woman in my universe."
His bluntness surprised even Wonder Woman. Looking at the Lasso of Truth binding him tightly, she knew he couldn't lie, and Wonder Woman didn't know what to say.
“Don’t be fooled by him,” Diana said as she walked in. “He can fool Batman, so he might be able to fool Lasso too.”
“I’m telling the truth,” Injustice’s super brain started working at full capacity again. “If you know anything about my universe, you should understand that Diana has always been on my side. For a long time, she was my only support and reliance. I have no reason to kill her.”
"Then why did you lock her up?" Diana asked.
"She..." Even Injustice Superman was a little unsure how to explain. He couldn't very well say that Wonder Woman in their universe had gone mad, could he?
Once Injustice Superman's super brain started working, he could clearly see how abnormal Wonder Woman's back-and-forth sowing behavior in his previous universe was. It was simply harmful to others and not beneficial to herself. What's the difference between that and being crazy?
However, if you try to explain it this way, it would sound like slander, which would likely enrage Wonder Woman from the main universe and make the situation even more serious.
“Wonder Woman, even if you don’t believe me, you should believe in your own abilities,” Injustice said. “Your lasso binds me, and you should know very well whether I’m lying or not.”
The main universe's Wonder Woman focused her attention on Injustice Superman and said, "Say it again, did you kill Wonder Woman or not?"
“Never,” Injustice Superman said firmly.
"Fine, then, after you sealed her away, why didn't you take responsibility for her safety? You caused her to die inside the seal."
“This is entirely my fault,” said Injustice Superman, “but the murderer must have done it while I was in this universe, just to frame me for it all.”
"What need did he have to do this? Aren't you evil enough?"
Even Injustice couldn't answer. He couldn't understand what the hell the mastermind behind Wonder Woman's murder was trying to do. His reputation was already so tarnished; was it really necessary to go through all this trouble? Killing Wonder Woman couldn't be more evil than mind-controlling Batman, could it?
Suddenly, Injustice seemed to realize something, and he turned sharply to look at Diana—he recognized Diana as Wonder Woman from Bruce's universe.
The Superman who just messaged him saying Wonder Woman is dead is the same Superman from Bruce's universe.
Injustice felt a chill run down his spine. He stared intently at Diana and realized that this woman possessed a compassionate yet unquestionable divinity unlike the other Wonder Women. She wore the same expression when she pierced Batman's heart with her sword, as if she were born to be a judge, yet magnanimously accepting every sinner who fell because of her judgment.
Diana was also watching him, her Greek-influenced eyes curving into a classical arc, her gaze, deep beneath her brows, was never like thin clouds in the sky, but as heavy as the earth, silent, profound, and compassionate.
In that instant of distraction, Injustice Superman missed his best chance to expose her. He couldn't help but curse inwardly: "Why are all the people in this universe so...who do they take after?"
The Wonder Woman from the main universe has freed herself from the noose. He says, "If you truly didn't kill the Wonder Woman in your universe, there must be a much bigger conspiracy behind this. Now that you've admitted your mistakes in protecting her, you're responsible for finding her killer. Also, tell me, what are you doing here?"
“There’s a Superman who needs help,” Injustice Superman changed the subject. “The Batman of this universe cursed Superman, leaving him bedridden. We’ve come to see if we can save him.”
Wonder Woman from the main universe frowned deeply. Just then, Superman stepped forward and said, "They were almost there to catch Night Owl, but he was suddenly saved by a beam of blue light. Would you like to see the video?"
The main universe's Wonder Woman nodded, but she couldn't find any useful clues in those three seconds of video either. Diana, however, raised an eyebrow slightly, and Injustice Superman keenly caught the change in her expression.
"Can you see anything?" he asked, looking at Diana.
“The key isn’t that blue light,” Diana shook her head and said. “If the video is only this short, then it proves that the person filming could only film this short, and he must have been interfered with by something. Who filmed this video?”
“Ultron,” Lord Superman said, “that electronic life form that’s been causing trouble in all the universes. He’s caused quite a bit of trouble with me too, but thankfully Lord Justice intervened in time and prevented it from having too much of an impact.”
“Then go ask him,” Diana said. “As the only one who has directly confronted the rescuer, only he will have clues.”
“But if he knew what was going on, he would have told Queen Superman,” Lord Superman continued. “He didn’t, and probably couldn’t figure it out either.”
"No, he didn't say. He probably thought that Queen Super couldn't handle those people, which would make more sense for electronic life. But anyway, there's no harm in asking, and it's always good to have some clues."
The main universe's Wonder Woman nodded. She thought for a moment, then picked up the tablet, casually opened the messaging app, and typed: "Ultron, are you there?"
No one answered. The main universe's Wonder Woman glanced at the monitor again and said, "Ultron? Ultron? You…"
Just then, her battle interface suddenly received a message from the main universe's Batman, who sent her a few short words: "Ultron's situation has changed, reply immediately."
