Chapter 321 A Stubborn Man's Smile Leads to an Examination
Chapter 321 A Stubborn Man's Smile Leads to an Examination
As soon as the car stopped in front of the house, Gu Yinshen watched Aunt Ping and Aunt Xue take Tian Tian out.
"Where are you going?"
"Sir, Madam. You've come at just the right time. Miss Sweetie said she has a stomachache, and we were just about to take her to the hospital."
As Gu Yinshen listened to Aunt Ping's story, his gaze fell on Tian Tian, who was being supported by the two of them.
Her face was pale, her head drooping, and her body was being lifted up and forced to move forward.
Ruolan was heartbroken when she saw this, and took Tiantian's body from Aunt Xue's arms. "Is it because of a stomachache that you didn't go to school?"
Sweetie nodded with difficulty, "Mommy, my tummy hurts so much..."
"Mom understands. Don't say anything yet, Mom and Dad will take you to school now." After Ruolan finished speaking, she turned to Gu Yinshen and said, "Yinshen, hurry up and drive Tiantian to the hospital."
In the past, would she have silently gone home alone with a stomachache? She probably would have already tried to get them to take her to the hospital.
Gu Yinshen approached and looked down at Tian Tian, "Where exactly does it hurt?"
Sweetie hesitated for a few seconds, then pointed to her lower right abdomen.
Gu Yinshen's gaze fell on the spot she was pointing to, he nodded, and then walked toward where the car was parked.
Seeing that he didn't ask any further questions, Tian Tian felt that she had already gotten away with it.
She continued to feign weakness, and with Ruolan's careful assistance, she got into the car.
On the way to the hospital, Ruolan repeatedly asked about her physical condition.
Sweetie would either take a long time to respond, or she would simply pretend to be in pain and remain silent. This made Ruolan very worried about her, fearing that the bumpy ride would make her stomach hurt even more.
In reality, Tian Tian's heart no longer belonged to Ruolan.
What should I do? Should I really go to the hospital? What if they find out there's nothing wrong with me at all? How will I explain that?
[Or are you saying your stomach doesn't hurt anymore?]
Sweetie frowned, her mind troubled by various questions.
Ruolan noticed that something was wrong with her and asked worriedly, "Sweetie?"
"Mom, I'm thirsty," Sweetie said, making up a flimsy excuse.
Ruolan glanced around; there was no water available in the car.
Turning her head, she asked Gu Yinshen, "Yinshen, how much longer until we reach the hospital?"
"Coming soon," Gu Yinshen replied, glancing back at Tian Tian. "Let's get her checked out first, we'll be at the hospital soon."
"Mommy, but I'm so thirsty." Sweetie frowned, slightly upset.
"Yin Shen, stop the car first, I'll go buy a bottle of water by the roadside." Ruolan said, then anxiously looked out the window to find a store.
The car speed increased significantly, but Gu Yinshen did not stop the car to let Ruolan get out and buy water because of her words.
As she got closer to Hospital Li, Tian Tian's heart pounded anxiously.
We're almost at the hospital. Is she really going to be examined by the doctor?
My heart was pounding faster and faster, and my palms were sweating profusely.
"arrive!"
Gu Yinshen's announcement was like a death sentence, and Tian Tian's face turned even paler.
"Does it hurt more now?" Ruolan pressed.
Sweetie could no longer hear any other sounds.
The driver's side door opened, and Gu Yinshen strode to the back of the car. He opened the rear door from the outside and looked down at Tian Tian inside.
"We've arrived at the hospital, come down," Gu Yinshen said.
Sweetie's hands gripped the child seat's safety belt, but deep down she didn't want to get out.
"Sweetie, we're here. After the doctor's check-up, we won't feel so bad anymore," Ruolan said, leaning closer to Sweetie.
There were two people waiting for her to get off the bus, and Tian Tian felt immense pressure on her.
She seemed frozen in her seat, neither listening nor speaking, just sitting there with a blank stare in front of her.
"Do you need me to carry you out of the car?" Gu Yinshen deliberately reached out his hand to probe.
Before she could even touch Tian Tian, Tian Tian instinctively tried to move away. But Ruolan was inside, and even after moving just a little, she touched Ruolan again.
Sweetie looked around like a terrified shrimp, with nowhere to escape.
Taking advantage of her inattention, Gu Yinshen grabbed Tian Tian's arm and scooped her out of the car.
In that instant, Tian Tian was completely disoriented, her mind a jumbled mess, unsure of what to do.
She was forced to stay in Gu Yinshen's arms, watching the patients and doctors coming and going around her, her heart pounding in her throat.
"I'm going to the emergency room."
"Need not."
Gu Yinshen stopped Ruolan, and a group of doctors in white coats walked briskly toward them from a distance.
"President Gu." The person at the head of the group, who was slightly older, was the hospital director, followed by all the attending physicians from the internal medicine department.
Gu Yinshen nodded in response, "Her stomach hurts."
"Upon receiving your call, Mr. Gu, we immediately began preparing the operating room and all examination procedures."
"Okay, you can arrange it as you see fit."
Gu Yinshen reached out and handed Tiantian to the group of doctors who came over.
"Little girl, can you feel exactly where your stomach hurts?" The director walked kindly beside Tian Tian, turning to ask her about her pain.
Sweetie thought for a moment and pointed to the left side of her stomach.
Gu Yinshen looked at it and asked, "Are you sure it's this way?"
Sweetie was taken aback by the question. After thinking for a moment, she moved her finger to the right side and said, "It seems to be here."
After she finished speaking, she glanced at Gu Yinshen out of the corner of her eye.
Gu Yinshen didn't press Tian Tian further, but instead turned to look at the dean, "Can pain be transferred?"
"It depends on the condition. If the lesion is severe, it will affect the extent of the pain. But there's another problem: children are too young to accurately sense the location of pain like adults," the hospital director explained.
Upon hearing this, in order to dispel Gu Yinshen's suspicions about her, Tian Tian immediately said, "I feel pain here too."
His finger then pointed to the middle of his stomach.
In less than a few minutes, he had already pointed out three locations.
Seeing this, the hospital director said to the attending physician who had been accompanying him, "Let's do an abdominal CT scan first."
"Okay," the other person replied, and led Tian Tian into the CT room.
The radiation inside is too high; apart from doctors and patients' family members, no one else is allowed to enter.
Ruolan peered through the window, her fists clenched nervously. "Could it be a very serious illness?"
"No, it won't happen." Hu Yinshen's attitude was firm.
This conversation was enough for him to doubt whether Sweetie's stomach ache was real.
Seeing Gu Yinshen's response, the hospital director quickly chimed in, "Children are often weak, and stomach aches are very common in hospitals. Sometimes it's caused by drinking cold water and then eating hot food. Madam Gu, you don't need to worry too much."
Ruolan hoped that what they were saying was indeed the situation that had occurred with Tiantian.
With her eyes fixed on the window, Ruolan took a deep breath and prayed repeatedly in her heart.
