Chapter 246: The Lost Portal of the Magic City

Lily and her team had just resolved the threat of the Shadow Lord, and the astrolabe once again guided them to an unknown place. This time, they appeared in front of a magnificent city. The city was surrounded by tall walls, inlaid with shining gems, emitting a dazzling light. The plaque above the city gate read the three characters "Magic City".

"Wow, this place looks like a fairy tale world!" Xiao Ai said excitedly.

"Indeed, this place is full of magical atmosphere." Nana exclaimed.

Lily led the team into the magic city. The city was full of floating balls of light and flashing magic runes. The streets were crowded with people, some riding flying brooms and some riding unicorns. Lily walked and observed the surroundings, feeling that the place was full of wonderful magical energy.

As they were walking in the city, a little girl ran over, holding a worn-out magic book in her hand and looking very anxious.

"Are you adventurers? Please help me!" the little girl said breathlessly.

"What's wrong, little sister?" Lily asked with concern.

The little girl's name is Millie. She told Lily and the others that her brother disappeared in a magic experiment. Millie found this magic book, which mentioned an ancient magic called "Lost Portal". She suspected that her brother was teleported to an unknown place by this magic.

"Lost portal?" Rhett asked puzzledly.

"Legend has it that this kind of portal will randomly teleport people to different times and worlds, and once you enter, it will be difficult to find the way back," Nana explained.

Lily thought this might be an important clue and decided to help Millie find her brother. They followed Millie to an ancient magic tower. The tower door was closed and engraved with ancient runes, which looked full of mystery.

"This is our family's magic tower. My brother conducts experiments here." Millie said.

Lily used magic to open the tower door and led everyone in. The air in the tower was filled with a strong magical atmosphere, and all around were various magical instruments and ancient scrolls. They walked up the stairs and came to a huge laboratory. There was a huge portal in the center of the laboratory, and a complex magic circle was engraved on the ground at the door.

"It seems that this is the lost portal." Nana analyzed.

Lily carefully examined the portal and found an ancient text engraved on it: "Those who enter this portal will be lost in the maze of time and space. Only those with pure hearts can find the truth." Lily realized that this was no ordinary portal. It might lead to a place full of challenges.

"We have to find Millie's brother," Lily said firmly.

They stood in front of the portal, Lily held the Heart of Time tightly and took a deep breath. She signaled the team members to get ready, then led the way into the portal. Instantly, they felt a strong dizziness, as if they were sucked into a huge whirlpool.

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves in a huge maze. The walls of the maze were made of flickering magical light, constantly changing their shapes. Lily felt a strong magical energy flowing in the air, and this place seemed full of unpredictable dangers.

"We have to find a way out," said Rhett.

They walked through the maze, taking every step carefully. The maze was full of all kinds of strange creatures, some of which could spit fire, and some of which could make shrill noises. Lily and her team members kept dealing with various emergencies and finally arrived at the center of the maze.

In the center was an open square with a huge stone statue in the center. In the statue's hand was a shining gemstone, and Lily felt that the gemstone contained a powerful magical power. She approached the statue and suddenly heard a deep voice: "Solve the puzzle of the maze, and you will find the real exit."

Lily realized that this was their final test. She looked around and found that the square was covered with various magic runes. She concentrated and tried to interpret the meaning of these runes. Just as she was racking her brains, Xiao Ai suddenly laughed: "These runes seem to be the rhythm of music!"

"Music?" Lily was stunned.

Xiao Ai explained: "I learned a little music before, and the arrangement of these runes looks like an ancient melody."

Lily had an idea, and she recalled an ancient magical song she had heard before.
