Chapter 305 The Test in the Ruins

The expedition members stood at the entrance to the ruins, their hearts filled with anticipation yet also a touch of trepidation. The cave entrance seemed to lead to another world, emitting a faint light that drew them closer.

"Are you all ready?" Yun Yi's voice echoed in the silence. He glanced at each team member with a determined gaze. "The ruins may be full of unknowns and dangers, but as long as we unite as one, nothing can stop us."

Everyone smiled at each other, their eyes gleaming with determination. They knew they had waited too long for this moment. So, under Yun Yi's leadership, they resolutely stepped into the depths of the ruins.

The ruins were dimly lit, with only a faint glow filtering through cracks in the cave's ceiling, barely illuminating the path ahead. The surrounding stone walls were engraved with ancient runes and patterns, as if telling of the ruins' long history and secrets. An oppressive atmosphere hung in the air, making one feel uncontrollably nervous.

"Everyone be careful, there may be hidden traps here." Kevin warned, his voice low and powerful, as if it could penetrate the darkness and reach everyone's ears.

Upon hearing this, everyone became even more vigilant. They moved forward cautiously, each step filled with caution. However, even with such caution, they still inevitably triggered a mechanism.

"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!" A sudden burst of air-piercing sounds echoed, and countless arrows shot out from hidden holes in the stone wall, descending upon the expedition team like a dense curtain of rain. Simultaneously, a roar echoed from the cave ceiling, and falling rocks rained down like raindrops.

"Hide!" Yun Yi shouted, and with a flash of his body, he quickly dodged a flying arrow. The other team members also used their skills to dodge or block, narrowly avoiding this round of attacks.

"These traps are cunning!" Arya gasped, her eyes blazing with anger. "We must be more careful."

Everyone nodded, knowing this was just a minor challenge within the ruins. So, they regrouped and continued forward cautiously. This time, they were even more cautious, carefully observing their surroundings with every step, fearing they might trigger another trap.

However, the ruins' traps seemed endless. No sooner had they dodged a barrage of arrows than they were met by a toxic fog. Fortunately, Arya discovered the source of the fog and used her magic to dispel it. Then, they encountered a series of complex locks that required Kevin and Feng Wuhen to work together to decipher.

After an arduous journey, the expedition team finally arrived at a spacious hall. In the center of the hall sat a massive energy ball, emitting a dazzling light. The surrounding area was covered in complex runes and patterns, seemingly forming a vast magical formation.

"It seems this is a test of strength." Yun Yi stared at the energy ball and said slowly, "We need to work together to use our skills to push this energy ball to the designated location."

Upon hearing this, everyone showed a solemn expression. They knew that this trial of strength would not only test their individual abilities, but also their teamwork.

"Is everyone ready?" Yun Yi asked again, his voice full of encouragement and strength.

"Ready!" everyone answered in unison, their eyes firm and powerful, as if they were ready to face the challenge.

Led by Yun Yi, the expedition team members began to unleash their respective skills. Arya's magic shone, infusing the energy ball with a mysterious power; Kevin wielded his sword, severing the chains that bound the energy ball; and Feng Wuhen used his agility to skillfully guide the energy ball's direction.

Yun Yi stood behind the energy ball, his hands clasped together, silently chanting an ancient incantation. As the incantation rang out, a dazzling light emanated from his body, as if resonating with the energy ball.

"Push!" Yun Yi shouted, and with a fierce push, the energy ball began to slowly roll forward. The others also used their skills, either pulling or pushing, to help the energy ball move forward.

However, the trial of strength was not as simple as imagined. The energy ball seemed to have its own consciousness, sometimes deflecting to the left, sometimes swaying to the right, and even releasing powerful energy waves from time to time, trying to break free from their control.

"Everyone, be careful! Don't get hurt by the energy fluctuations!" Yun Yi warned, beads of sweat already oozing from his forehead. He knew that at this moment, they had to be more united.
