Chapter 124 The Trial of Lava Hell

After leaving the frozen snowy region, the expedition team set out on their journey to the next area. However, fate is always full of unknowns and challenges. They never expected that what awaited them ahead was a blazing lava hell.

As the team advanced deeper, the air grew increasingly scorching, and the ground beneath their feet began to tremble slightly. A pungent smell of sulfur filled the air, foreshadowing the arrival of a completely different world. Finally, as they climbed over a steep ridge, the sight before them made them gasp.

A vast expanse of lava lay before them, its crimson lava surging like a raging tide, emitting a deafening roar. The surrounding mountain walls were scorched ablaze by the lava, as if even the very air was on fire. The explorers looked at each other, their eyes filled with shock and unease.

"Is this the lava hell?" Kevin gripped the longbow tightly, his voice trembling slightly. "How do we get through?"

Yun Yi's eyes were determined. He took a deep breath and said in a deep voice, "No matter how difficult the road ahead is, we must find the passage to the next area. Everyone, be careful. This place is full of unknown dangers."

As they cautiously advanced, a deep roar suddenly erupted from the lava. Then, several hideous fiery creatures burst forth from the lava, charging straight toward the expedition team. These creatures were engulfed in blazing flames, their eyes like burning embers, gleaming with a ferocious light.

"Prepare for battle!" Yun Yi shouted, unsheathing his longsword. A flash of sword light like a dragon instantly charged towards the nearest fiery creature. The fiery creature swung its sharp claws, engaging Yun Yi in a fierce clash. Each collision unleashed dazzling sparks, threatening to illuminate the entire lava hell.

The other expedition members drew their weapons and engaged the flame creatures. Leah chanted a spell, unleashing rays of healing light to heal the wounded. Kevin drew his bow and arrow, which streaked through the sky like a meteor, striking the flame creatures' vital points with pinpoint accuracy.

However, these fire creatures were numerous and extremely ferocious, and the expedition team soon fell into a difficult battle. The scorching heat of the lava and the attacks of the fire creatures made them exhausted, and every step seemed extremely difficult.

Throughout this fierce battle, Yun Yi remained clear-headed. He knew that fighting head-on in such a harsh environment was not the best strategy, and he had to find a secret passage to the next area to escape.

"Everyone, don't fight too long. Finding the secret passage is the most important thing!" Yun Yi shouted loudly while waving his sword to resist the attacks of the fire creatures. Upon hearing this, the expedition members scattered in all directions, looking for possible passages.

At that moment, Yun Yi noticed a few faint runes flickering on one side of the lava hell. With a thought, he quickly approached the wall for a closer look. Though faint, the runes were arranged in an unusually neat pattern, as if concealing some secret.

"Everyone, come and see!" Yun Yi shouted excitedly, "These runes may be hiding a secret passage leading to the next area!"

Upon hearing this, the other expedition members gathered around, carefully examining the runes, trying to decipher their secrets. After some effort, they finally discovered that the runes were arranged according to a specific pattern. By touching the runes according to the pattern, they could open a secret passage to the next area.

"Are you ready?" Yun Yi asked nervously.

The expedition members nodded in agreement. Yun Yi took a deep breath and touched the runes one by one, following their pattern. As the last rune was touched, the mountain wall suddenly roared, and a blazing light shot out from it, instantly illuminating the entire lava hell.

After the light faded, a secret passage leading to the next area suddenly appeared before them. The entrance to the secret passage was covered by a thin layer of lava, but it didn't seem to be enough to block their progress.

"Go!" Yun Yi shouted, and the expedition team quickly passed through the secret passage entrance. Although the interior of the secret passage was narrow and scorching hot, it was much better than the lava hell outside. They continued along the secret passage and finally walked out of this terrifying lava hell.

When they stood at the exit of the secret passage and looked back, they saw the lava hell still burning fiercely, as if it would never be extinguished. But they knew that they had successfully crossed this land of death and taken a firm step towards an unknown future.

"We did it!" Leah shouted excitedly, tears glistening in her eyes. "Yun Yi, you are truly our hero!"

Yun Yi smiled slightly and shook his head. "No, it's the result of everyone's joint efforts. We are a team, and only by unity can we overcome all difficulties."

The expedition members nodded in agreement. They knew the road ahead was long and difficult, but as long as they worked together, nothing could stop them. They would continue to write their own legendary chapters on this unknown continent.
