Yan San slightly raised the corners of his mouth: "Of course not in the legion. Dr. Qi's research institute has rooms for researchers to rest in. You can sleep there."
Xi Yu muttered something to herself. Why did she feel like Yan San was trying to persuade her to stay?
“Since you’re coming back tomorrow anyway, you might as well just stay here for the night and save yourself the trouble of going back and forth,” he said to himself.
"Alright... then I'll trouble you." Xi Yu also felt that what he said made sense, and besides, it was already late to go back now.
Yan San's eyes lit up instantly, a hint of a smile playing on them: "I'll arrange it for you right away."
Yan San meant it immediately. Within five minutes, a junior researcher led them to a room on the top floor of the research institute. Although the room was understated and simple, it was fully equipped and even had a private bathroom.
"Commander Yan, this is the room you requested," the junior researcher said respectfully, glancing quickly in Xi Yu's direction before retreating.
Xi Yu felt that the researcher's gaze was a little strange, but she didn't think much of it and couldn't help but admire it after entering the room.
Yan San made very thorough preparations. There were several changes of clothes that hadn't been worn in the closet, all the toiletries in the bathroom were prepared, and there was even a small kitchen where she could make light meals.

"You can use this room until you graduate," Yan San said softly. After graduation, you would live in the legion's dormitory.
"Is this my reward for my contributions to mecha research?" Xi Yu sat directly on the pure white bed, sinking into the soft mattress immediately. This kind of bed was definitely not provided in the dormitory.
“No, this is my way of showing my appreciation. I wanted to make sure you were comfortable when you rested.” He sat in the chair and met her gaze calmly.
Xi Yu coughed lightly, politely indicating that she was going to sleep: "I'm going to sleep now."
"Then we'll continue tomorrow. I'll sleep in the next room. You can ask me if you need anything." Yan San got up to comply with her suggestion.
Xi Yu nodded, then realized something was wrong: "Wait...you said you slept next door!?"
Her eyes widened; she knew this guy wouldn't suddenly become obedient! How could a legion commander-in-chief live in a research institute?
"To make it easier for Dr. Qi to examine me, there's a room here just for me," Yan San said with a nonchalant smile.
No wonder the researcher who led the way looked so strange; this is where the problem lies! Anyone would find it odd that she, an outsider with no background, was assigned to a room next to the commander!
Xi Yu crossed her arms and sneered, "So the commander that everyone respects is actually someone who abuses his power."
"This has nothing to do with me. Everything in the research institute was arranged by Dr. Qi," Yan San said seriously.
Xi Yu, of course, didn't believe it! Dr. Qi was so busy that he hadn't even stepped out of the lab, how could he possibly arrange these things?
"Fine, whatever! I'm going to sleep!" Xi Yu rolled her eyes, pushed him out of the room, and added a warning: "Let me warn you, I hate it when anyone gets close to me when I'm sleeping. No matter who it is, if they walk next to me, I'll break their arms and legs!"
She spoke in a sinister tone, and even bared her teeth in a threatening manner.
