Chapter 39 Who Did I Offend?
Chapter 39 Who Did I Offend?
The two looked at each other and smiled.
After all, there are few people who don't cry or make a fuss after being kidnapped.
Even fewer are the pampered young ladies who remain calm and composed after being kidnapped.
"Never mind who we are, think about who you've offended," the fat man said.
Several names flashed through Song Qianyi's mind.
There is only one person most likely to do such a thing, and that is Lin Shan.
If it were Lin Shan, it might really have cost her her life.
Song Qianyi's smile vanished instantly, and she looked at the two of them warily: "Who is that person?"
"If we really told you, how would the two of us survive in this underworld?" The fat man patted Song Qianyi's face. "You'd better stay here obediently. Maybe if we're in a good mood, we'll let you out sooner. But if we're not..."
What a classic threat.
Song Qianyi curled up and nodded quickly.
She roughly figured out that the other party kidnapped her just to teach her a lesson, and that it wouldn't threaten her life.
Death penalty can be avoided, but living crime cannot be avoided.
Later that evening, the two brothers bought some fine wine and food, and ate with gusto.
Song Qianyi leaned against the wall, staring at the roast chicken and meat on the table, swallowing hard.
My stomach also cooperated by making gurgling sounds.
The two brothers laughed heartily upon hearing this, but paid no further attention.
Song Qianyi wished she could fight the two people right now.
Okay, very good. This kind of torture can really drive a person crazy.
The two of them only occasionally gave Song Qianyi a few sips of water.
The water tasted slightly sweet, probably because glucose was added to it to prevent her from getting too hungry.
However, the energy provided by glucose was negligible for Song Qianyi, who hadn't eaten all day, and she was already drowsy by evening.
While I was half asleep, I suddenly heard voices outside.
She suddenly perked up.
The dilapidated house was dark, with no lights, except for a sliver of light visible from outside.
The two brothers were holding their phones and talking to the person on the other end.
Although they couldn't see each other on the other end of the phone, they still nodded and bowed, saying, "Don't worry, we will definitely teach her a lesson."
"No, no, I definitely won't do anything particularly outrageous."
"Yes, yes, it's especially dark here."
Song Qianyi could only hear the fat man's voice; as for the voice on the other end of the phone, she could only hear a little bit of it.
It's a female voice.
The voice sounded somewhat familiar, but the distance was too great for her to recognize.
There was another rustling sound outside, and Song Qianyi quickly returned to her original spot, lay down, and closed her eyes.
The door was pushed open, and two people carrying lanterns approached.
"Your face is so soft!"
"Don't move! Put away those thoughts. We're just here to make money; we won't do anything immoral."
"With such a young and tender girl right under your nose, boss, you really don't want her?"
"With money, what kind of woman can't I have? This one is obviously someone special. The employer didn't kill her. If he lets her go, we'll both be finished."
A moment of silence followed, and the other seemed to be thinking.
"Give her something to eat tomorrow, so she'll remember how good we are to each other and won't make things too difficult for us when she gets out."
Song Qianyi couldn't help but give it a thumbs up in her heart.
This is a kidnapper with some sense of responsibility.
"Um, I'd like to have braised pork tomorrow, is that okay?"
"..."
"Did you hear us talking?" the fat man asked.
Song Qianyi pointed to the light in the skinny man's hand: "It's too bright."
The skinny man immediately put the light down.
"I just woke up and heard you say you'd give me food. I was so hungry I couldn't resist." As she finished speaking, Song Qianyi's stomach rumbled twice in agreement. "I have money in my wallet. I can pay for my own food. The rest is yours."
The fat man suddenly laughed: "If you behave yourself, I won't make you suffer too much."
Captain's office.
Ji Jingshen frowned as he saw Lin Shan walk in: "It's not time for you to return to your post yet."
"I'm here to see Captain Ji today, not for work." Lin Shan stood at the door, looking at the man standing not far away.
The man had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, and his buzz cut made him look even more cold and righteous. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and just by standing there, he was captivating.
She wanted to win over a man like that.
“If it’s not work, we have nothing else to talk about.” Ji Jingshen sat back down in his chair, no longer looking at her.
Keep people at arm's length.
Lin Shan bit her lower lip tightly and didn't move. When the other person cast a questioning look at her, she stepped forward, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
Ji Jingshen's brows furrowed even more: "What are you trying to say?"
Lin Shan opened her phone and pulled up a video.
Ji Jingshen glanced at it; it was a video from the DV camera at the time.
He didn't speak, only stared coldly at the woman in front of him, his brows furrowed.
He felt nothing for Lin Shan, and even felt disgusted by some of her overstepping boundaries, but his inherent upbringing prevented him from speaking ill of her.
Therefore, he did not forcefully kick the person out of his office.
After the video finished playing, Lin Shan opened another file.
It's a recording.
A few seconds later, the voices of Song Qianyi and Lin Shan talking came from the phone:
"What's the rush? Are you feeling guilty?" Lin Shan asked.
"What am I guilty of?"
"You drugged your husband!"
"Just talk to him and see if he believes you or me."
Lin Shan paused the session.
Ji Jingshen looked up at him, but his hand on the armrest tightened quietly.
In the recording, Song Qianyi did not deny it, which is an indirect admission.
The few seconds of silence were the time Lin Shan gave him to think.
His face remained calm: "Continue."
Lin Shan was unsure of Ji Jingshen's attitude, but she still clicked to continue playing.
"You don't like him, can't you just give him to me?"
After a long silence in the recording, Song Qianyi said, "I'm tired of playing with it, so I'm giving it to you."
The recording ends.
Ji Jingshen's jaw tightened the moment he heard those eight words, his hands clenched into fists, and the ring he was wearing on his ring finger was now pressing painfully against it.
"Captain Ji, you should be able to recognize Miss Song's voice." Seeing Ji Jingshen's reaction, Lin Shan knew that her goal had been achieved, and her eyes revealed a hint of excitement: "Miss Song said that she had no feelings for you for a long time, but she didn't want to tell you, so she asked me to tell you."
Receiving no response, Lin Shan stood up, walked to Ji Jingshen's side, placed her hand on his shoulder, and traced her fingertips downwards: "Captain, I'm no less capable than Miss Song!"
The next second, Ji Jingshen reached out and grabbed her wrist.
The force was so great that Lin Shan's face turned pale instantly: "Captain, you hurt me."
Ji Jingshen forcefully pushed him away: "Get out!"
"Captain, what Miss Song said is true, don't you believe me?" Lin Shan was unwilling to give up.
Ji Jingshen didn't speak, but only glanced at her.
His gaze was deep, as if he wanted to strangle someone.
Lin Shan trembled slightly, and when she saw Ji Jingshen walking towards her, she subconsciously shrank her neck.
As it turned out, Ji Jingshen simply brushed past her.
Looking back at Ji Jingshen's hurried departure, Lin Shan slightly raised her chin, a smug smile playing on her lips.
Ji Jingshen drove all the way back to his residence. While waiting at a traffic light, his gaze fell on the wedding ring on his hand, and he was slightly lost in thought. Only when the car behind him honked did he notice that the light had turned green.
