"Have some tea." Yue Xin poured Lin Xuan Qi a cup of tea and placed the cup in front of him.
Lin Xuan Qi gave her a nod and picked up the tea cup to have a sip.
At least she wasn’t so jumpy now. He thought.
Yue Jie’s talk to her must have put some sense into her.
He glanced at Yue Xin and held her hand.
No matter how he looked, he felt that her petite frame might need some buffing up.
In his mind, she needed more nutrients to prepare for the pregnancy.
"How are you feeling?" He asked with his eyes roaming over her from head to toe.
She blushed and lowered her head, thinking that he was asking her whether she was ready to serve him.
It was evening time with the sun still shining, making it a huge contrast to her wedding night where there were only the candlelight.
That got her feeling excited and anticipating what was about to happen.
"Me? I’m feeling ready." Yue Xin said softly and waited for him to make the next move.
But Lin Xuan Qi rolled his eyes at her and flicked his finger onto her forehead.
"Ouch." She pouted and rubbed her now reddened forehead.
"What were you thinking about?" He shook his head and said, "I was asking whether you are feeling healthy with the winter cold."
"I... Err... I’m feeling great." Yue Xin said and sat up straight, trying to show him that she was as healthy as she could be.
She wasn’t sure about why there was so much attention on her and the others from him but she didn’t mind.
It had been a long while since he got busy with the businesses.
Lin Xuan Qi held onto her hand again and rubbed the back of it while he said, "Remember to keep warm and let them know if you need anything."
He couldn’t help much if she were to start to experience some of the symptoms of pregnancy so he could only let her know to seek help from the others.
Xue Cong with her mother around would be experienced enough to know and help.
He continued to chat with Yue Xin until it was time for dinner.
And after dinner, he cultivated before spending the night with her.
For the next few days, he went on and created more of the chicken soup powder.
He also figured out the sauce for the rice cake and had the servants prepare some of it.
The plan was to have enough of these ingredients to have a test sale of the rice noodles soup, rice cake and rice paper rolls soon.
Better to test and adjust accordingly with real life results.
If he kept experimenting in the lab it might not be what the targeted customers wanted.
Finally, when everything was set and ready, Lin Xuan Qi was eager to go out and see how the reception to the food was.

Out in the streets of Hong Feng City, a thin layer of snow covered it.
Everywhere from the walls of the city to the streets were now pristine white instead of the usual dull gray.
And in the middle of the streets, lines that were left behind by horse carriages passing by could be seen in the snow.
The few pedestrians who were walking by hugged the coat they had on their body while huffing warm air that turned into white mist immediately.
When they turned into a corner of the street, a food cart was being set up.
Lin Xuan Qi stood by the food cart that Old Shao had made while the servants prepared to open for business.
He watched closely as they did what he had told them earlier to set everything up.
The servants started to put in firewood beneath the pot, which was on the side of the food cart.
Then, they started to light the fire.
After it was done, the water in the pot slowly boiled.
And when it was time, they put in the right amount of chicken soup powder into the boiling water.
They stirred the soup and instantly the aroma of the chicken soup filled the air.
The servants had to swallow a mouthful of saliva while doing so.
Even though they had already had breakfast, they were still craving some of the hot soup in the cold winter day.
And the hot soup being so enticing certainly helped fuel their craving.
"What are you selling?" One of the pedestrians stopped and asked when he smelled the aroma of the chicken soup.
His stomach growled and he was looking for something to eat.
Running around the city in the morning doing his errands had made him tired and hungry.
Many of the food hawkers didn’t come out to sell in the cold and he was glad when he saw one that was in business.
"We have rice noodles soup, rice cake with savory sauce and spring rolls."
"How much?"
"Five copper coins for the rice noodles soup, three copper coins for the rice cake and one copper coin for one spring roll."
"Give me one bowl of noodles soup." The pedestrian didn’t have to think much to decide.
No one can reject a hot bowl of noodle soup when it was so cold.
The servants quickly got to work and they cooked the noodles, put the noodles into a bowl and poured in the soup.
After which, they added in the pieces of meat and vegetables.
Everything was done with precision.
Nothing was left to chance.
Lin Xuan Qi had made precise measurements from the time they were to cook the noodles, to the amount of meat and vegetables to be added.
The pedestrian watched and was impressed with their ’performance’.
And most importantly for him, the rice noodles soup was ready for him within a very short time.
"Here’s your rice noodles soup."
The pedestrian paid the five copper coins and held the bowl close to his nose.
He took a whiff of the rice noodle soup and it triggered a mouthful of saliva in his mouth.
That got him impatient and he scooped up a spoonful of the soup.
